Pastor Cy intuitively addresses the needs of the church and community
through service. His primary focus is to Help People Win in Life
through God's Word, Great Worship, and doing Good Works. For instance,
Pastor Cy and many ministries of New Landmark currently address
challenging issues like poverty, inter-generational mentoring, social
injustice, gun violence & trauma, legal consultation, marriage and
family life, health enrichment, youth mentoring, community outreach and
development, emergency relief, policy advocacy, community-police
relations, civic engagement, and speaking truth to power.
Pastor Cy also commits his time, energy, and resources to serving various local organizations, boards, and campaigns to promote a beloved community. Ultimately, Pastor Cy envisions the growth of believers' faith through the teaching and preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He firmly believes the unadulterated Word of God is the best path towards realizing social justice, economic justice, educational equality, and strengthening of the black family. He attributes his most significant and meaningful accomplishment is the sharing of life, dreams, and the joys as a husband to Yolanda for 24 years and the nurturing of their two daughters, Summer, and Autumn.
